I truly cannot say enough good things about the team at PHL, especially Anthony Young. What should have been a fairly standard home purchase turned into one of the most stressful and complicated 3-month processes imaginable, with endless delays on the other side, moving deadlines, outside issues completely beyond our control, and moments where I genuinely thought the deal would fall apart entirely for my dream home. Through every single obstacle, this team fought for me nonstop. There were countless moving parts, constant curveballs and moments that required incredible patience, creativity, persistence, and communication. While I was emotionally exhausted and losing hope, Anthony continued pushing forward to get us to the finish line. Not only are they knowledgeable and professional, but they are also genuinely kind people who understand how personal and emotional buying a home really is. My wife and I were trying to get a loan on our own and were turned down a couple of times for various reasons. We were exhausted at how difficult it was, things have changed and lenders want your soul. We were feeling so defeated until we found what we call  our miracle worker, Kendra Visscher. Her first attempt failed and we started thinking we’d never get the loan and our dreams were not going to come true, but Kendra said, “don’t give up on me” and she didn’t give up on us either. A few weeks ago we were depressed and today the money is in our account and we’re going to make that dream come true and we owe it all to her. She found the way that others hadn’t and got us a great interest rate, with a lower monthly payment which was a bonus, and she advised as to wait a few days as she felt the rate was trending downward and she was right. I would recommend her to anybody who wants a loan. Her attitude and sincere personality lifted our spirits and gave us hope. I’m 78 and have had a lot of experience over the years with going for loans and she made this the best one of them all. I hope her boss knows what a nugget of pure gold she is. What made this so outstanding was that they had less than 10 days to get this done for me - and they did!! No small feat since it was to purchase a condo and I am an investor - two things that require a few extra sets of eyes and elevated scrutiny, but they, and the entire team that worked on my file, excelled at the challenge. From my initial conversation with Ryan and each one throughout the process, he was knowledgeable, efficient, encouraging and provided invaluable support. As far as the definition of a Loan Officer/Loan Advisor/Loan Originator goes, Ryan's picture should be in the dictionary - no doubt about it!! The process was not simple once the appraisal came back with repairs to the house needing to be done, but that was no stress for Steven. My lender, Cindy Fuentes, was wonderful to work with, she is so sweet and friendly, and very knowledgeable in her field.  She let me know what to expect each step of the way and was super quick with responding whenever I had any questions.  We ran into a hiccup with the condo master insurance binder, as the master insurance policy had recently changed.  Cindy and Steven Mangum worked with me to help get this resolved with the condo aoao quickly so that we can proceed with a very smooth closing. Steven Mangum of Pacific Home Loans has been absolutely amazing! He educated & walked us through each step of procuring our Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, the new HUD reverse mortgage program. Although he knew at onset that this would be a challenge, he met it like a pro and closed the loan! The thorough research of his team even saved the deal after being given incorrect info from our HOA mgt company! Calls were promptly returned and he went the extra mile to accommodate our schedule by holding a weekend conference call with us. Steven's patient presence from beginning to end resulted in achieving our goal: We now can live in our home as long as we need/choose with sufficient fund$ to meet our living expenses.
